DURATION: Approximately 5 minutes

Rivulet aims to capture the life and movement of tiny bodies of water, beginning with “droplets” of isolated chordal figures and sparse harmonic passages. These gestures gradually expand and connect, ultimately breaking free into a rhythmic and fast-flowing middle section before returning once more to the sparse, glassy textures of the opening.

Rivulet was commissioned by, and written in collaboration with, harpist Grace Tanner at the Royal Academy of Music.
